Beltera Bespoke Hat Art is created by artist and designer Julianne Holland.

Each Beltera hat is handmade from premium quality rabbit fur felt. Julianne uses traditional hat-making techniques to stretch the felt over wooden blocks and shaping the hat by hand, creating a completely unique style. Julianne sources the highest quality trimmings and supplies from reputable sources and vintage suppliers including Australian kangaroo leather, crushed velvet, printed satin, glass beads and vintage fabrics and silks.

 

Finally Julianne completed her designs with the hat embroidery art that she is renowned for. These designs are sketched freehand without the use of patterns or stencils and then embroidered by hand with care and precision. Jules Chooses her colours instinctually as she stitches, working meticulously without the use of machines. Ensuring each design is unique.

 

Beltera’s incredibly unique process can take up to 30 hours to complete, this is slow fashion in its most patient and devoted form. Love and Magic is woven into every design.
