All walks and activities for this particular expedition are at an intermediate fitness level. We will spend most of our first day enjoyuing the trek into Byfield National Park and while the majority is at a leisurely pace with slight inclines there are a couple of sections of the trail that are steeper and sections that are in soft sand. We will have many oppertunities to stop and rest as well as enjoy our scheduled botanical art sketching and painting lessons nestled under trees and amongst the wildflowers on the trail.

The surfing portion of the Expedition requires you to be a confident swimmer.

While there will be expert and experienced staff on hand to help, assist and encourage you along the way, and we really do encourage you to push through your comfort zone, we are unable to walk the trial for you. If you are unsure about your fitness level get in touch with jules for a chat and she will be able to give you some guidance. With a little bit of training beforehand, you will be surprised what you can accomplish!

All hiking treks and creative activities are guided by Jules Holland Artist, Teacher, Field Guide and Ex-Park Ranger along with her experienced and pasionate support team. You will benefit from Jules’ lifetime of experience in remote tourism as well as her unique experience gained from working in some of Queensland's most remote National Parks. Combine that with her unique, grounded and relaxed teaching style and you have a weekend of absolute natural bliss. Learn more about Jules and her journey HERE.

We have chosen a bush camp experience, so that you can unwind from your usual constricts and distractions, and return to your natural state of being. Connecting with the rhythms of nature is essential for our nervous systems to calm.
