Visionary Reflections - 2024 Self Portrait Collage Workshop

Step into the new year with serious queen energy with my twist on our popular Mixed Media Self Portrait workshop! Imagine combining the inspiration and optimism of a vision board with the gratitude and love of a self portrait using fun collage and basic embroidery techniques. If that sounds Super vague, that's because being vague is my general composition 😉 But for the sake of clarity, This is how this baby works:
 
Visionary Reflections is a inspired, laid-back, and warmly welcoming Collage and mixed media self portrait workshop at Aphrodite Art School. As we usher in 2024, let's not only dream but also celebrate life, the things that inspire us and how far we have come. For me this isn't just about looking forward, it's about celebrating the now.
 
We will immerse ourselves in all the goodness of vision boarding. I have some wonderful worksheets that I have taken a lot of care to write that I will send out before the workshop. Take a moment, pour a coffee and fill out the questions to help gain some clarity. This type of worksheet is a non-negotiable for me starting every year and I am excited to share it with you too. This is where your innermost thoughts, dreams, and hopes start to peak forward and come to life.
 
On the day of the workshop we will dive into the profound practice of visualisation and intention-setting in the company of kindred spirits as we collectively channel our celebration for life as it is and our aspirations looking forward into 2024.
 
Now for the best part… Dropping into absolute creative flow as we rummage and sort through the thousands of images I have collected over the years of running my collage workshops. You’ll have bizarre vintage German pattern magazines, Children's story books, boujee magazines, vintage sheet music, & dress patterns, I have bespoke gift wrapping paper, I have hundreds of images I have collected and printed from pinterest, I have vinyl record covers, I have thick gardening encyclopaedias, stamps, manifestation card decks and god knows what else to use as inspiration.
 
Slowly our collage creations will come to life. At this point we will include (if we wish) the printed photos and images that you have sent me prior to class creating a true and powerful self portrait. By including these photos of yourself into the vision board artwork is an incredibly powerful act of visualisation and manifestation. This is what makes this workshop truly magic! I also recommend bringing anything and everything you might have at home that you might like to include in your artwork. 
 
This workshop will run for 3 hours as we include (if we wish) Embroidery and mixed media elements in. We will have a morning tea break somewhere in the middle with Iced Tea, coffee and some delicious goodies to keep our spirits high.

🎁 Please send Jules your favourite photo, selfie, image of yourself and any other images you would like her to print out for you to include that are specific to your manifestations. Our workshop includes all materials needed plus morning tea.
