It's time to slow down with the chillest form of creativity going! Embroidered Fibre Art & Painting With Thread!
In this workshop, you will be lead by esteemed Embroidery Artist Jules Holland of the label Beltera where she will bring embroidery out of the past and well and truly into the contemporary future. In this workshop you will learn the basics of 'painting with thread' and embroidery art.
You will follow along with Jules by first drawing your floral design and then learning how to bring it alive with a needle and thread. This workshop is intended to give you all the skills and tools needed to continue your artwork at home. Embroidery is a slow delicate process, this workshop with get you well and truly started and give you everything you need to confidently curl up with a cup of tea of an evening and finish your piece. You will also gain access to the private facebook group 'Embroidering Bellas' where you can share your progress within a supportive fun community of women across the country.
All supplies are included in this course in including thread, scissors, hoops, needles, erasable pens, and sketching supplies. The event will be catered for with morning tea and non alcoholic refreshments.
Held in the hidden-away gem that is Stir and Stitch’s private garden deck right in town, you will be vibing on great company, good music and yummy food!
No embroidery or artistic experience necessary, just be ready for a really fun time! Aphrodite Art School will have your creative goddess shining!

Please read these carefully to ensure we are on the same page. COVID- As a small business doing our best to remain sustainable, we are unable to offer refunds in most cases. If however, you are unable to attend class due to a directly Covid-related reason (e.g. the borders being closed, you are feeling unwell), we can offer a credit for you to attend at a later date if we are given at least 7 days notice. This is to ensure we have enough time to pass the ticket onto someone else.
+ If you can not make a class for whatever reason, unfortunately, we cannot refund or give credit due to the nature of these workshops.
All purchases are final. However, we encourage you to send a friend along to take your spot!
CANCELLATION AND NO SHOW POLICIES
These policies are in place as a courtesy to our teachers and staff. We feel this is fair for them as our class sizes are limited, and by purchasing a ticket we: Hold the spot for you Pay the teacher for your spot, and time spent preparing materials Purchase the materials required Prepare morning/afternoon tea For this reason if you forget to attend or have a prior commitment we are unfortunately unable to provide a refund, credit or transfer. In some cases we may be able to give you the materials and instructions to complete at home.
+ All bookings need to be made online, just add the workshop of choice to the cart and you will be taken to the payment gateway.
+ Your seat is secured once we receive full payment so lookout for an automated confirmation email and please make sure you type in the correct email.
+ We have class minimums to meet, if we do not make them and need to cancel a class we may do so at any time and offer you a full refund or a credit to attend a class at the same value within a 12 month period.
