Emu Park Jan 24 - BYO Akubra - Embroidered Hat Art For Beginners

To be held on Sunday, January at 10am at the Honeybee Collective on Granville Street, right across from Main Beach in Emu Park. The perfect cosy location to enjoy a morning of creative indulgence.
 
This package is for students who wish to use a hat of their own to embroider into. Please keep in mind that darker hats such as black or brown will be more difficult to use in this course.
 
Join Jules, founder and designer of Bella Terra Firma for a morning of creativity and insight into how she creates her bespoke embroidered hats. With step by step guidence you will learn the basics and create your own embrodered hat. Chill out, meet some lovely people, have a laugh and enjoy this unique creative practice.
 
Students will be guided through conducting prelininary sketches, drawing a freehand design onto thier hat, embroidering Jules' unique Line Darwing technique and ‘painting with thread’ to create depth of colour, shadow and highlights.
 
The workshop will run for aprox. two and a half hours with the ability and suppplies to carry on with your own design in your own time.
 
This Embroidery Kit includes everything you will need to create a beautiful embroidered hat that can be worn and cherished for years to come.
